Procedure

WARNING: Set device and headphone volume low before start.
Select a frequency and waveform. Press Start.
Change frequency slowly. Stop the tone before you disconnect speakers or headphones.

Function

Hearing and equipment safety

A high-frequency tone can sound quiet and still load a tweeter or your hearing. Do not increase volume to make a weak tone easier to hear.

Use a current version of Safari, Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. Microphone tools require HTTPS and microphone permission.
